Our Purpose
Kulungah Myah Community Centre is a community managed, not for profit organisation which has the charitable purpose of advancing social and public welfare by:
1. Advancing mental health and preventing social isolation.
2. Providing a physical location where it supports individuals to undertake activities, or work on projects in the company of others.
Our Approach
We empower individuals and groups via networking, knowledge building, skills sharing, health promotion and community development strategies to make a difference to their own lives, and the lives of others in the locality.
We are committed to sustainability, to embracing cultural and linguistic diversity, and to engaging those who are vulnerable and socially isolated within our locality. We work in partnership with other agencies to address unmet and emerging social needs. In addition to our initiated programs, we host a variety of societies, clubs, playgroups, small businesses, and church groups, including a toy library and a pre-kindy.
Our warm and inviting venue is available for hire for private functions, professional seminars and formal meetings. We also cater to practitioners and therapists requiring a safe and comfortable setting for client engagement, therapeutic activities and individual service provision.
