Project Citizen – Community Service experiences for High School Students

 

We offer high school students opportunities to apply their skills, knowledge and talents in a range of activities around the Centre – including art creation & beautification as well as garden planting & cleaning sessions.

Internships for University Students

We offer university students seeking a community-based internship with a fantastic opportunity to develop career enhancing skills and knowledge.   We accept students from a range of academic backgrounds, including social work, psychology, health promotion, social studies & marketing.

Internship positions can focus on:

  • grant writing
  • marketing & communications
  • event coordination
  • research
  • program development
  • peer engagement
  • social impact reporting
  • or any combination of the above!

We offer interns a comfortable and dynamic working environment, a structured induction and orientation, as well as ongoing support, during the placement.    Opportunities for specific skills training will be identified for each student to support their learning goals.

Whilst we have a close partnership currently with the McCusker Centre for Citizenship and the School of Humanties, Arts and Social Sciences, Murdoch University, students attending any university are welcome to apply by writing to chair@kmcommunitycentre.org
