Project Citizenship – Community Service experiences for High School Students

We’re offering high school students opportunities to apply their skills, knowledge and talents in a range of activities around the centre.  From art creation, to garden planting, or peer group facilitation….there’s so much on offer!

Community service coordinators and students themselves can explore their options by writing to the Community Engagement Officer at info@kmcommunitycentre.org

KMCC Internships

We offer university students seeking a community based internship with a fantastic opportunity to develop career enhancing skills and knowledge.   We accept students from a range of academic backgrounds, including social work, psychology, health promotion, marketing, data science, engineering and finance.

Internship positions can focus on:

  • grant writing
  • marketing & communications
  • event coordination
  • research
  • program development
  • peer engagement
  • data management, analysis & visualisation
  • or any combination of the above!

We offer interns a comfortable and dynamic working environment, a structured induction and orientation, as well as ongoing support during the course of the internship.   Opportunities for specific skills training will be identified for each student to support their learning goals.

Whilst we have a close partnership currently with the McCusker Centre for Citizenship, students from any Perth based university are welcome to apply.

Contact Natasha Reid, Community Engagement Officer to discuss this opportunity in more detail, via info@kmcommunitycentre.org
