Our Paint & Chat Morning Tea for Women’s Health Week at KMCC was a nice mix of connection, self-care & creative flow!
Kulungah Myah Community Centre hosted a women’s morning tea on Sept 6th to give local women the opportunity to come together to paint, chat and connect.
Art is the perfect means to promote well-being by encouraging relaxation and mindfulness. With the help of artist Karen Lambert, participants were able to create their own seaside masterpiece.
Lauren from BreastScreen WA shared an informative presentation on breast care, whilst Karen had everyone creating beautiful seascapes via blending and creating texture.
Thanks to Jean Hailes for Women’s Health for sponsoring the event. Special mention to our staff also, Program Manager, Rose Alden, and Community Engagement Officer, Natasha Reid for their amazing efforts to create a memorable morning!
